Sassanid Persia Faceted Glass Bowl

淡緑色の吹きガラス製半球形碗に、円形の切子が重なるように配置されています。底には一つの深い円形切子があり、そこから4段にわたり、7、12、14、14個の窪みが見られます。

表面には銀化が見られ、円形切子が連なるササン朝ペルシャのカットグラスの特徴を備えています。正倉院宝物にも、同系統の円形切子を施した「白瑠璃碗」が伝わります。

A pale-green, blown-glass hemispherical bowl with overlapping circular facets. A single deep circular facet at the base is surrounded by four rows of 7, 12, 14 and 14 depressions.

The iridescent surface and repeated circular facets are characteristic of Sasanian Persian cut glass. The Shosoin treasures also include a glass bowl with related circular faceting.
