乳白色のメノウに、身を休める鴨の姿をかたどった小さな印章。

丸みのある胴体に、背へ折り返した頭と首を表し、上部には横方向の孔が通っています。白い表面には、黒や褐色の斑点が散らばっています。

細長い底面には、八方向へ伸びる星形文と線刻文。穏やかな鴨の輪郭と、深く彫られた文様が、それぞれ異なる表情を見せています。

A small stamp seal carved from milky-white agate in the form of a resting duck.

The rounded body incorporates the head and neck folded back along the bird’s back, with a transverse hole through the upper part. Black and brown speckles are scattered across the pale surface.

The narrow base bears an eight-rayed star and a linear design. The gently rounded outline contrasts with the deeply engraved motifs beneath.
