緑・青緑・黄色を基調とする複雑なモザイク地に、赤色で縁取られた楕円状の文様を配した多色モザイクガラス珠。

本品で特に興味深いのは、穿孔周囲に現れる緑・黄・濃青緑色の放射状文様です。細い異色ガラスを束ねて作ったモザイク・ケインの断面が明瞭に現れており、珠の製作技法を観察するうえでも特徴的な部分です。

A polychrome mosaic glass bead with red-bordered oval motifs set in a complex ground of green, blue-green and yellow. Around the perforation, radiating patterns in green, yellow and deep blue-green clearly reveal the cross-sections of mosaic canes made from bundles of fine, differently coloured glass. This area offers a particularly clear view of the bead’s construction.
